Is It Bad...

Is it bad that I dread Mondays and every other day during the week I wake up, I was wishing it was the weekend? Why can't every weekday feel as delightful as the weekend? Here it is...

During the week, we go to school and work, or whatever it is people do. They are things we don't necessarily WANT to do, but we have to IF we want to have at least decent lives. That is if you haven't been fortunate enough to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth, or just happened to be a rockstar's kid...just examples.

So we do these things and I don't know about you, but I really don't like going to school and now that I'm a senior, I'm gonna have to start all over again. The only thing about college is, you actually get to do what you want to do...[major, minor] You have a choice. With that choice, you may actually be more passionate about going to school. I hate the fact that in high school you take all these stupid courses that you are NEVER going to need in life! There's no fuckin way I'm using logarithms in real life, so what gives? Why can't highschool be like college and have majors and all that shiz, so students don't actually feel like they are wasting their lives in classes they don't really need?? The world would be a better place. I mean, yeah, if you want to be an engineer, then advanced math classes are necessary I guess, but what about people like me that use the right sides of their brain and are driven by the arts? I'm going to an art school for college and there's like a completely different set up from a basic liberal arts college, or whatever. I understand you have to take basic liberal arts classes first starting out, but at the college I'm going to, they actually relate what your learning to your major...in other words, what YOU want to do.

As for people that work, I can't speak for everyone, but I know people that don't like working, but they have to do what they have to do to survive. If you don't work, how else are you going to make it? I know there are other options...BUT...they aren't all good. Some people have no other choice but to turn to those options and I think that's pretty fucked up. You can dread going to work every day, but you look forward to that paycheck, so you do it anyway.

Everyone is looking forward to their weekend...the time you can actually have time to do what you want to do...down time. It's the only time of the week we can get it. It's a vacation that just doesn't last long enough. We all dread that Monday because it's back to reality. Vacation's over.

HAPPY FRIDAY PEEPZ!
